Start Kicking, Rookies!

We all face changes throughout our life and these changes often associate with challenges. Facing challenges is one of the most vital skills in life. Regardless of whom you are, whether you are at the top of the hill or you are climbing up the ladder, challenges present in different degrees.
What is challenge anyway? According to dictionary, challenges “are task[s] and situation[s] that test someone’s abilities. In fact, I would most definitely say challenges would be barriers or obstacles to life. The level of effort has to be placed to overcome these challenges. Whilst the connotation of success and failure is deeply rooted within us, acknowledgements and evaluations are musts to inspire one and open one’s mind. This process enables us to become stronger, and perhaps, allows us take on tougher challenges.
Often times, many would be envy for those who have already succeeded and many would believe that they have little to worry about. In fact, this is not the case. People who have succeeded, who I would call professionals, have the pressure to maintain themselves in certain degrees and to outperform themselves consistently. Those who are climbing up the ladder would be rookies and has lots to learn. They have no previous history to limit their future performance. They have nothing to lose. Perhaps, these ‘rookies’ are not bounded with traditional rules and norms. Rookies have comparative advantages relative to professionals. And likely, they would generate creative and innovative ideas. Professionals are bounded with traditions and norms and they would need to play their cards carefully. In a greater extent, I reckon the first-mover and the second-mover advantages are in effect in this game. (I would explain this concept in the near future. Meanwhile, we will focus on challenges)
There are no easy challenges in life. And often times, we need to invest great amount of effort to overcome these challenges. Thus, the return on investment would have a particular value itself. In this regard, the return is defined as experience. In success, your doubts would turn into your motivation. Thus, believing yourself have nothing to lose is the key to gain everything.
If I Ain’t Got You, by Alicia key, is always one of my favorite songs. It suggests people live for certain goals. “Some people live for the fortune; some people live just for the fame. Some live for power; and some live just to play games. Some people think that the physical things define what’s within”. This perfectly depicts how superficial the reality of human behavior. Nevertheless, having a belief that there are physical awards at the end of the game is utterly a mistaken motive. This motive would most definitely lead to disappointment. What important is how you cultivate in your process and how you take on your challenges. This is not a ‘fast-food’ cult. In fact, this requires months, or perhaps, years to accomplish. You might not be able to overcome all challenges. Regardless of success or failure, you must acknowledge that every challenges you overcome means you are one step closer to your goal. Ultimately, it is your cultivations to perfections already acts as the basis to your future and intrinsically allows yourself to be a strong dreamer, and yet, as a strong achiever.
